 ■ "GREENS" LEGAL THREAT TO THORP       

                                        

 Environmental groups are considering   

 legal action following the Government's

 decision giving the go-ahead to the    

 Thorp nuclear reprocessing plant.      

                                        

 Friends of the Earth said the decision 

 "flouted" EC law, adding it was        

 prepared to take the Government to the 

 European Courts of Justice.            

                                        

 Greenpeace believes the High Court will

 order a public inquiry into the plan   

 following the survey.
