 Paul's long exhortation ends           

  in an Advent prophecy & a prayer:     

 "Once again, Isaiah says,              

  'The Scion of Jesse shall come,       

    a ruler who rises                   

     to govern the Gentiles;            

   on him shall they set their hope.'   

  And may God,                          

   who is the ground of hope,           

  fill you with all joy & peace         

   as you lead the life of faith until, 

    by the power of the Holy Spirit,    

   you overflow with hope."
