CAREY: "RAVE-TYPE" SERVICES HAVE PLACE
The Archbishop of Canterbury has told
alternative groups within the Church of
England that there is a place for "rave
-type" services aimed at young people.
Dr George Carey made the comment after
meeting representatives of alternative
and youth groups in London.
But he stressed that lessons must be
learned from the controversial Nine
O'Clock Service in Sheffield.
It was suspended last month after
claims that Reverend Chris Brain
sexually abused female members of his
congregation.
