 SHERLOCK HOLMES ACTOR DIES AGED 59     

 Actor Jeremy Brett has died of heart   

 failure at the age of 59.              

                                        

 The actor, who was first taken ill two 

 years ago, died peacefully at his home 

 in London.                             

                                        

 Mr Brett will perhaps be best          

 remembered for playing Sherlock Holmes 

 in the ITV series.                     

                                        

 His other credits include playing the  

 role of Max De Winter in the 1979 BBC  

 production of Rebecca.                 

                                        

 Mr Brett leaves two children from two  

 marriages.
