 HOUSES OF COMMONS AND LORDS IN RECESS  

 The House of Commons and the House of  

 Lords resume business on Monday 16     

 October after the summer recess.       

                                        

 MPs will be looking ahead to the       

 Queen's speech in November, in which   

 the Government will outline its new    

 legislative programme.                 

                                        

 Among the Bills expected to go before  

 Parliament are proposals for a system  

 of nursery vouchers and the possible   

 introduction of identity cards.        

                                        

 Other measures could include laws to   

 curb noisy neighbours and improvements 

 in housing.
