Shares in BAA fell several pence after
the airports operator published what
was regarded as a disappointing set of
August traffic figures.
Passengers handled by the group's seven
airports rose by just 3.9% year-on-year
to some 9.5m.
European charter traffic dropped by 3%,
following a similar decline in July.
North Atlantic traffic was up by 5% and
European scheduled traffic by 2.7%.
UK domestic routes saw a 6% rise and
Irish and long-haul routes 11% gains.
