 Ian Woosnam is hoping to celebrate his 

 Ryder Cup call-up by successfully      

 defending his British Masters title.   

                                        

 The Welshman has not won a tournament  

 since last year's Masters at Woburn but

 is determined to make up for that.     

                                        

 "I'm being more positive about things  

 now, especially my putting," he said.  

                                        

 Nine members of the 12-man European    

 Ryder Cup team are playing on the      

 European Tour-owned course.            

                                        

 The missing trio are Nick Faldo,       

 Bernhard Langer and Costantino Rocca.
