 Yamaha have withdrawn from the rest of 

 this season's World Superbikes         

 Championship following the death of    

 Japanese rider Yasutomo Nagai.         

                                        

 The 29-year-old died in hospital from  

 severe head injuries suffered in the   

 championship's Dutch round last Sunday.

                                        

 Yamaha sporting director Christian     

 Sarron said: "Assen is one of the      

 safest tracks in the world.            

                                        

 "It was not a high-speed crash and     

 normally a rider would have got up and 

 walked away and that just makes it     

 harder to accept."
