HOSPITAL STAFF WANT SPECIAL STATUS
Staff at one of the country's top
security hospitals are wrting a letter
to the government, asking it to make
the unit a special action zone.
Broadmoor Hospital, in Berkshire, would
receive more funding if it were to be
earmarked as an action zone.
The Prison Officers Association, which
defends nurses at the hospital, says
due to staff shortages it can no longer
guarantee the safety of staff.
It is also concerned about the welfare
of patients and people living close by.
